Mighty Torreys

Nice shot! The conditions look a bit more brutal than when I did Mt. Edwards (13,850) next to Grays Peak in December 2004. That area is beautiful! Congrats on a great climb and glad your safe after your near mishap!

Re: Mighty Torreys

Thank you for the well wishes. I'll have to give Mt. Edwards a shot too..perhaps before the snow melts. Ciao! :)

A wild time. . .

Great shot!--Sounds like a successful trip, mixed with a little adventure to make things interesting! It certainly made for a good story.

Thanks for the comment..and yes, nothing like a good adrenalin shot to add to one's experience. I see you like ice axes too! :)

how difficult?

Great shot. I did Quandary this winter and found it extremely easy. how difficult was Torrey's in the winter, as I am thinking of making a trip up there this winter. Any other easy winter ascents?

Sorry

Sorry, I had a parent on hospice and was offline for quite awhile.

Although I am most likely too late, I'll answer anyway.

Torreys is very similar to Quandary's ridge. What makes it harder than Quandary is the distance and the ascents on the way back. If Quandary was easy for you, Torreys shouldn't be a problem and I highly recommend it!

Make sure you have your ice axe out! :)

Let me know how it was if you've already done it.
