The Berriel Gorge via ferrata's: overview

The Berriel Gorge via ferrata's: overview

In the Berriel Gorge there are 3 via ferrata's on the same mountain - Extraplomix (behind the left corner, not visible on the photo), Primera Luna (the first half is marked by the blue line) and Jesús Beitia (red line). There is also an emergency exit route (dotted green line). The route back down from the top (yellow line) is well marked and involves easy scrambling with a short section of fixed ropes in the steepest part.

Closed now?

Great descriptions of the via ferrata's!
We are heading for GC next week and wish to go there.
The spanish links indicate that the ferratas maybe is closed now. Do you know something about it, or where to check it?

Re: Closed now?

Jan and I were there last December and the routes where open and in fine shape then. But I just checked the Spanish links too, and it does indeed say that Primera Luna and Jesús Beitia are closed.

To make sure, I recommend getting in contact with Climb In Canarias. Their email and phone number are on the site.

If they are indeed closed, Via Ferrata Baviera, in the center of the island, could be a suitable alternative.
