Looking west along the Halo Ridge toward Pt. 13,831 and Holy Cross, on the right. One contours on the left (south) side of Pt. 13,831 to the west (unseen) side of the peak, then drops and turns north (right), following the ridge to Holy Cross. Stay near the ridge crest to minimize distance and elevation. On the summit block's west side (out of view) you may intersect the standard route (and hordes of fellow climbers), or you can pick your own less traveled way to gain the summit. If camped in the Fall Creek/Lake Constantine area, return the same route. The Teardrop Route runs up the snow between the peaks, from the Bowl of Tears.
