photo with dog-rose Vid! I wonder what do we see here, is this Ilirska Bistrica and its karts field maybe?

Hm, I hear for the first time: dog-rose. Sipek - sipurak. Fine!

What do we see? It's more towards NW. If you drive from Pivka directly towards SE - over Knezak, you soon reach the village, called Zagorje. We have a very nice (typically Slovenian sad) song, which goes like this:

Zagorski zvonovi,

tak lepo pojo,

ko mojo drago,

ko mojo drago,

k pogrebu neso...

and later...

zvoniti bom pustil,

kropiti pa ne,

ker kropile jo bodo

le moje solze...

Well, let's leave sad stories. Above this Zagorje (westwards) is a village on a hill - Silentabor (people were hiding there from Turks) - There was this picture taken.

Cheers!

I've found Knezak and Zagorje on the map. Nice karst field and corner among the mountains. I didn't notice it on the map by now, and it looks quite large. That is sad song indeed. Well, my English dictionary says that Sipak is Dog-Rose. Sipak belongs to family of roses so it makes sense but why dog? What dogs have to do with Sipak? :-)
