It seems to me

that Topalihut is now a really nice accommodation. Locals of Mattertal looked for years for someone mad enough to run this hut. Next time in Valais I should go there and summit Brunegghorn via the northeast ridge.

It sure was a welcoming hut, and the views were magnificent. When I visited it was very quiet though, so if that's normal then I can imagine that it's not economically viable on its own.

Next time that you go there, why not go all out and climb the Brunegghorn north face?
