ramp leading to Red Mountain notch
If approaching from the south, it is imperative to gain the deep notch immediately east of Red Mountain's summit block. There are several notches visible on the ridge top, but look for the one that has a rather distinct, scree-covered ramp that angles towards the correct notch.
