Dome peak above Cub Lake. We camped on a heather bench high above the lake, that enabled us to reach both Dome and Spire Point in a weekend.

Thanks. Actually it was a roomy camp with my 3-man Stevenson tent. We set it up, and I pulled out the stove to start on dinner, when Mike told me we still had to climb Spire Point! (This was the same day we'd left the car.) We watched the sunset from the Point, raced to camp, then climbed Dome & hiked out the next day.

Mike knows how to push. He just wrote a book, Trekking Washington (Mike Woodmansee, Mountaineers Books), in which 30 miles counts as a day trip.

Amazing! You guys are animals! :-) Nice shot indeed from this vantage point. I washed out my shots from there, so thanks for posting this one. -Bob
