The icy North face (the Pala...
The icy North face (the Pala Nevosa) of Monte Carè Alto in summer 2004. Twenty years ago it was very different and there was a famous ice route called "Route of Ombrella" because of the shape of the ice "nose" in the face.

...I reached the north slope of Carè Alto in sep 97 and there were no trace of rocks in the middle of the slope! :-( I don't have word to describe my astonishment about that!
