In winter, the recommended...
In winter, the recommended route is this shallow gully. It is recommended you skip the sometimes hard to find (in winter) standard summer trail in favor of this more direct route. It is also a nice glissade, though it is often too rocky to glissade. In summer the route is a creek, and you shouldn't do this shortcut and you should stick to the main Barr Trail.
