The final cliff band blocking... [ Sizes: Orig | Small | Thumb ]
The final cliff band blocking...
The final cliff band blocking the way to the summit of Cerro Rico from the East Slopes. The cliffband, which is made up of fairly rotten rock, can be bypassed lower down on the mountain, where a traverse from the East Slopes to the west side of the mountain can be made. This break in the band will be fairly obvious as you ascend the East Slopes. (26 January 2005)
