The rock circus called Blaueisumrahmung ("frame of Blaueis", which is the northernmost glacier of the alps) seen from the Schärtenspitze (2,153m).
The summits are Blaueisspitze (left, 2,481m), Hochkalter (2,607m), Kleinkalter (2,513m) and Rotpalfen (2,367m).

North ridge of Blaueisspitze is rated UIAA IV.
