Freezing to death on near... [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Freezing to death on near...
Freezing to death on near 13,000 ft. on Torrey's peak. Huddling in the rocks and making hot soup to keep warm. This picture was taken September 3, 2004 and just goes to show that you need to prepared for the worse year round.

Why not just get the hell out of there instead of wasting time making soup?

I'm not sure what we were thinking, but we're teenagers and stomachs were calling. Also thought it would be a good learning experience in winter survival. We weren't in any immediate danger, and retreat was easy.
