I haven't yet. I lloked it over pretty thoroughly on photos of it at different angles and snow levels and had planned to do it as my descent route from the Pfeifferhorn. I'll have another chance to try that when I make my second attempt at the North Ridge later this spring.

I'm hoping to have a chance to check out this ridge some more this year, both for a traverse, and to try some top-roping.

The other side has kinder slopes, likely allowing one to drop down and around the gendarmes, so I've assumed it to be 3rd or 4th class. If you stay dead on the ridge? Who knows? That could be fun to find out!
