Staring Out Towards Stuart

A 10s self timer photo on my way up the south face of Axis Peak. That's the north face of Mount Stuart with Lake Stuart below on the left and Mountaineer Ridge in the foreground left. Alpine Lakes Wilderness, WA. 5-26-16

Re: Nice!

Yep! I stood by that dead tree, took probably 8 seconds to get there. :)

Re: Nice!

I thought you were sitting on a bar stool in
Leavenworth. What took you so long ?

Excellent shot of Stuart's north face !

Axis is...

...on my short list for my upcoming August trip out of Eightmile Campground. How was the hike/scramble? Views look amazing...

Re: Axis is...

I liked it! Boulders down low turning to dirt and scree towards the top. Views were indeed... amazing! I wrote up a trip report here.

Great Shot

I've done a few of these shot in the past where I had to run and try not to fall off the edge because the "10 second" timer on my camera is really more like 7 seconds.

Re: Great Shot

This one took two takes. At first I was behind the camera and it took me 10 seconds just to get to the dead tree. Second time, I nailed it! :D
