Telephoto of Big Kangaroo from the west. The easiest approach with no snow is via the wider gully to the right and crossing left below the cliffs into the left gully.

Thanks for the photos and the route description Fred. The photos remind me of the endless scree on the ridge, in the heat of summer. Lots of scree / little climbing. Spring is the best time to do it as you stated.
