This is a steep rock face in...
This is a steep rock face in the Pine Bluffs, near the Nebraska highpoint. For those going to the Nebraska highpoint, and thinking there is nowhere to hike: The "Pine Bluffs" are small tree covered hills, on the road to the trailhead, after you pass under I-80 in Pine Bluff, Wyoming. Once at the top of these hills, you lose no elevation, but the scenery becomes flat. From these hills, you are about 12 miles from the highpoint. It is strange that these hills reside so close to relatively flat farmland, but such is the nature of the rise in elevation. At lower elevation, the drop off from the actual highpoint is marked by these hills, which have not been divested of their trees. This is an excellent spot to view some interesting scenery that is absent at Panorama Point.
