Hasn't voted | On my way in, I was chased up the valley by rain clouds... it rained on me for about an hour but it wasn't too bad. When I got up to this lake it wasn't raining but there were clouds streaming over into the Crater Lake basin, covering the higher peaks like Apache. There was just enough sunset light filtering through the clouds to make this ambient golden light. | | Posted May 29, 2005 11:28 am |

Voted 10/10 | Jack, allow me to add my congratulations to the others here... that picture of the peak rivals the one I've got hanging in my living room! When were you there - recently? I took a shot at Lone Eagle once in May and got utterly bogged down in feet of snow. Are you standing in front of mirror lake?
Nice work! | | Posted May 27, 2005 5:22 pm |

Hasn't voted | Yes, that's Mirror Lake. I went during a period of (mostly) clear weather after the first round of snows this last fall. So hiking through that snow wasn't too bad... it wasn't too deep. But it was cold at night! | | Posted May 29, 2005 11:24 am |
