| desainme | Maybe the rabbit | |
Voted 10/10 | got away and this is a failed attack from the rear. Of course the rabbit would have had to sit there quite a bit.
Oh the other hand horned owls attack at night, so is the rear attack required? | | Posted Apr 15, 2006 2:25 pm |
| Airewalker | Cool, but no | |
Hasn't voted | Sorry guys, I took almost the exact same picture while ice fishing in Nordegg AB, except its a raven that landed, no rabbit in sight. Its still an awesome picture and something really cool to see in person.
Edit: On second thought, there's blood on the snow, so who knows! | | Posted Jun 9, 2006 4:28 am |

Voted 9/10 | I just wonder if the owl was coming at the rabbit from the front why didn't the rabbit run away? It had to have seen the owl coming? | | Posted Dec 21, 2006 12:25 am |

| Matt K | Great photo! | | Voted 10/10 | I'm sure it is a coincidence, but when I worked in the natural resources field in Wisconsin a few years ago, I swear someone emailed me this exact photo, also taken by someone in Alaska! I wasn't an original recipient, it just eventually got forwarded to me. | | Posted Nov 18, 2007 4:41 am |

Voted 10/10 | This is soooo cool. That's an epic photo. Absolutely incredible. The patterning in the snow is possibly more amazing than seeing the actual attack itself. | | Posted Oct 14, 2008 2:33 pm |

Voted 10/10 | 250!!! I think we need to break for a Pink
Floyd tune:
"Run, rabbit run!
Dig that hole, forget the sun,
And when at last the work is done;
Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one."
