Great 3000m mountains in the Alps

In Europe for most people the 4000 m peaks are more attractive.
But there are some really great 3000 m peaks which are really great!

This is an album for this peaks which are not the highest but which belong to the most beautiful mountains in Europe.

This is my suggestion:
Grossglockner
Piz Palü
Eiger
Ortler
Königsspitze
Grosses Wiesbachhorn
Fletschhorn
La Grivola
La Meije
Piz Roseg
Piz Badile
Les Drus
Monte Pelmo
Hochgall
Aiguille de Triolet
Monte Viso
Bietschhorn
Mont Pelvoux
Ailefroide
Marmolada
Grosse Zinne

If you have another mountain where you think that it MUST be also specified, let me know.

Hi Jurgen. Thanks for your comment. It´s a real personal view and there are so many great 3000 m mountains in the Alps. A few years ago I was on Marmolada and I forgot that nice mountain!!! So I will add it! Thanks for your info! Cheers, Thomas

A subjective issue...every 3000er could be famous or great, no? I like and agree with the list from Thomas.

I have to go soon to Eiger and Bietschhorn! :-)

On which route do you plan Eiger? Mitteleggi ridge?
When? Do you need a partner??? ;-)

Yes why not, but let us start with a different tour.
a "warm-up tour".

Ok, let´s keep in contact. I also should start with a shorter and easier tour. But now first I go rock climbing next week in the warm south!
