Steve McCurry tracked her down in the past while; she's aged, of course, but she still has those eyes. | | Posted Jan 11, 2007 6:23 pm |

Voted 8/10 | it's a good pic but I don't know why Kenzo has submited it in SP. What type of pic is it? Informational? Perhaps the elves should add other category, it could be named "People" | | Posted Jan 6, 2007 12:34 am |
 | | brutus of wyde | Re: Sorry... | |
Hasn't voted | Respectfully disagree.
Perhaps she is one of the "Four Girls"?
imho the people and culture are as much a part of a place as a place is a part of the people and their culture.
Great pic, and no "sorry here."

Voted 10/10 | Agreed, she's as indigenous to the mountains as any bighorn sheep or alpine flower. Beautiful picture, Kenzo! | | Posted Jan 6, 2007 3:16 am |

Voted 10/10 | This Tibetan Girl is not a picture of a mountain, true. This Tibetan Girl was created of Mountains, there is no finer beauty. | | Posted Jan 6, 2007 5:40 am |

Voted 10/10 | WOW! What a shot...can you say cover of National Geographic. I love the bright colors of here outfitt. Is this how they dress everyday or was this for a ceremony or party? This is why climbing is so great, it gives you the chance to experience different places and cultures. | | Posted Jan 6, 2007 7:43 am |

Hasn't voted | Thanks for your comment, atthecrux. This vivid clothes is dressed in special day like the New Year, party and so on. They are quietly dressed in usually. This clothes and it's decorations changes a little with the place on the Queen Valley. For example, the pattern of their embroidered hat is different with the place. And the utilization of coral beads is a habit common to all of them, but the decorative way is changes a little. To put it in an extreme way, it is change at every branch valley. Then the local people understand one's native place by her clothes. | | Posted Jan 7, 2007 4:03 am |

Voted 10/10 | the best portrait I have ever seen on SP! Much better than the Afghan girl who shows a certain (understandable) anxiety, while this picture radiates calm composure. | | Posted Jan 6, 2007 10:21 am |
