If there is a mountain anywhere, more beautiful than Alberta's Mount Assiniboine, I haven't seen it. Early last October, I spent a week in the park trying to capture the peak in photographs. No doubt there are many fantastic climbs to be had here as well, but on this occasion it was just me and a whole bunch of camera gear.

Hasn't voted | This is not the Matterhorn of North America, the Matterhorn is the Assiniboine of Europe. Amazing pictures in your gallery as well. | | Posted Feb 12, 2008 11:05 pm |

Hasn't voted | Your picture made mine look like my old Kodak Instamatic images. That is one sweet picture. Isn't that a beautiful place?! I'd go back in a heartbeat...if it wasn't for the Gmoser Highway approach. | | Posted Sep 25, 2008 6:21 pm |

Hasn't voted | I like to view your pictures, and I am sorry to say this, but I would never buy them. Sometime it's just too much 'make over'. Anyway, keep on keeping on. | | Posted Dec 20, 2008 9:31 pm |
| Marcsoltan | There are | |
Voted 10/10 | Machapuchars, Ama Dablams and Alpamayos, but none of the them have foothills like Assiniboine. I am afraid you have a point by saying that you haven't seen a prettier mountain.
Another point, I wish every SP member could come see the photos you have. They are something to behold in awe.The best of the best are here.
Happy climbing,
Marc
