| Spectacle in the Kingdom of Triglav | [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
Evening spectacle on Kredarica (2515m) below Triglav (2864m). Sun is sinking between Jalovec (2645m), on the left, and Mangart (2678m), on the right. This is situation in mid summer when Sun sets on NW while most of the year sunsets are hidden by huge body of Triglav.

Hasn't voted | No, my picture is of the exact same spot as yours; the sun is in the same spot in the sky between Jalovec and Mangart, according to your photo caption. | | Posted Dec 9, 2004 12:54 pm |

Hasn't voted | Ok, I'm confused. The mountain in my photo is the one that Velebit says is Mangart in his photo caption. So you're saying Velebit is mistaken and it's really Razor??? | | Posted Dec 9, 2004 3:23 pm |

Hasn't voted | Alright, I'm wrong. I thought they were the same mountain but my memory has failed me. I just checked my photos. It's not the same mountain. It's Razor. But it is indeed a sunset view from Kredarica! At least I got that right! You'd think I'd know this since I hiked up Razor too. | | Posted Dec 9, 2004 3:32 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Hehe! Yes from kredarica you have a beautiful view on all the big mountains in Julian Alps and you made a mistake but not problem! That is nice that someone from America has visitied our mountains and I am very happy about that! :-)
Cheers!! | | Posted Dec 9, 2004 4:30 pm |

Hasn't voted | I am very happy I got to visit Slovenia. I would never have known to go there if it weren't for Summitpost and the great contributions made by members like you and Vid and Velebit. Thanks!!! | | Posted Dec 9, 2004 6:23 pm |

Hasn't voted | Thanks Jack! I've been away for few days so I missed this little discussion but I see Vid and Bor cleared it up :-) Jalovec and Mangart are left from Razor (towards west) and were probably obscured by clouds, judging from your beautiful photo. I'm glad too that you liked Julian Alps :-) | | Posted Dec 9, 2004 7:19 pm |
