Climbed via the typical, escorted route. Parked at Cerro Verde, descended through the forest. Met our police escort at the base of the volcano. Went with brother, cousin, nephew. Lots of fun

I went to climb 3 volcanoes in the same area. Cerro Verde, Volca Santa Ana and Izalco. Awesome place including a big lake. views are fantastic.
A nice day spent in a beautiful part of El Salvador. The rapid descent and ascent and then vice-versa certainly gets the blood flowing!
