Overview


Volcán Osorno is most famous post cart of south Chile. It is situatted around of Llanquihue lake, the biggest lake of the country.
Lakes and Volcane makes the beautifull landscape of the South of Chile.
The Volcano Osorno was first described by Charles Darwin. At that time, Osorno was in activity. Now, it is not.
The route is not dificult, only a walk up summit with ice. 30º degrees steep slop. Crampons, piolets and Plastic boots are required.

Getting There


Arriving in Santiago, You have to take bus to Puerto Varas. It takes a role day trip.
In Puerto Varas, you pay a someone to leave of to the Las Burbujas refugee, reached by car.
It is 50 Km paved road to Ensenada, than 16 Km of dirty road going up hill thru Osorno slopes.

No permits are required, no fees to pay!

When To Climb


From December to March.

Camping


At Las Burbujas refugee. No fees to camp.
