W ridge : Climbing, Hiking & Mountaineering : SummitPost

You start the tour on Vrsic pass where you park your car. Then you hike by Ticarjev dom (hut) and lead the marked routes for the Kopiscarjeva pot (Through the Front (West) Window), for the west ridge (by the Front window) and over the south slopes.

Route Description

On the small hill Sovna glava, (1750m) the route for Through the Front (West) Window goes in the north face but you follow the signposts for the route over south slopes. You cross the long screes below the west face of Prisojnik and soon you come on the small pass in the middle of Prisojnik`s west ridge called Gladki rob, (1870m).

From Gladki rob you turn left and start scrambling on the west ridge of Prisojnik. You walk first over the nice steep grassy slopes and then over the small screes and climb over some rocks. You come on the ridge and soon you go by West window (Prednje okno). Then you climb on ferrata over the somewhere airy ridge.

Soon you come on the summit of Prisojnik and you can decide to descend over the any other route.

Essential Gear

Good hiking shoes, helmet and rope for not good climbers.
