Grand Staircase-Esclante National Monument Summitpost Info

The easy 9 mile round-trip hike to the Wahweap Hoodoos begins in Big Water, not too far from Kanab, Utah. The pedestal rocks are just as they appear, very fragile. At one time a freshwater lake covered the region. What is left today is unique, special and primitive. May it stay that way!
