I think

the verticals (waterfalls) with the uniform horizontals really add to the impact. More than a nice picture of a great canyon. Also excellent range of tones and subtle colors.

Thanks a lot for your kind words!! I made a whole lot of photos of the canyon, but this one I liked the most.
