Walking Along the Athabasca Glacier Toe

Hike to the Toe of the Athabasca Glacier The rope barrier is barely visible along the lower third of the picture near the two hikers walking on the official trail. Notice they are wearing coats. It was a beautiful sunny day but still chilly, especially up around the glacier. Two people (specks!) are visible up higher on the glacier above the crevasses section where they should not be.
