Walls of Cirque de Gavarnie

[ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Walls of Cirque de Gavarnie
Spectacular view of the twisted layers of rock making up the Cirque de Gavarnie. In the lower middle you can just see the grand cascade, which is over 400m high. The summit just to the left of the center is le Marboré (3248m), to the right of it are the Pics de la Cascade, to the left of it is le petit Astazou (3012m).

Thanks!

I actually resubmitted this picture, the older one was too blurry. It was in 800x600 but it turns out the auto-resize is much more blurrier than the one from Photoshop.. Also added a 'sharpen' filter, so you can now much better see the 'strata and ramps'.
