| Our friends in Flagstaff suggested that we check out Walnut Canyon. Way cool. Would love to return and do some more hiking nearby. | |

| Hiked the Island Trail and Rim Trail in Walnut Canyon. Part of the trail was closed due to rock fall. | |

| Another great after school special for lumberjacks. Walnut Canyon is nice, but I prefer to wander the canyon rim and strange side canyons. | |

| Stopped in at this National Monument and enjoyed the island trail with my wife and four kids while traveling to Mancos, Colorado to a family reunion. Cool cliff-dwellings that are not so "cliffy." Revisited again on June 26, 2007, a day after hiking up Mt. Union and a day before hiking the Sycamore Canyon Rim Trail including KA Hill. Checked out the Rim Trail this time as well as the Island Trail again. Fun place to visit when you are passing by or in the area. | |
