Warning! Benchmark nearby!

1st time I ever saw one of these signs Of the probably 100+ peaks I've climbed that have a bronze benchmark on them, this is the first one I found that had a sign posted nearby. I found this on a desert peaklet south of Barstow, CA. It wasn't even located on the most prominent point along the mountain/ridgeline; however it was a fairly well-preserved survey station with wooden planks still forming a triangle centered around the bronze marker within a rockery wall forming the survey station area.
