Loved the mines. Other than that this seems like a great jogging trail.

Enjoyed this hike with my parents and husband on a brilliant, sunny spring day. Surprisingly, we had the summit to ourselves! We headed up the King's Canyon trail and returned via the Gould Hill Mine-Esperanza Trail. Fantastic day in the sun.

Classic Sonoran desert scenery. We did this as a loop going counterclockwise, King Canyon to the saddle with sweetwater then up to the summit and then down the Hugh Norris to Esperanza to Gould Mine. This was less than half a mile longer than an out and back via any option so it is a good way to do the peak.

Great winter hike on an excellent trail. The views are unique -- there's just nothing to compare it to where I'm from. Saquaro cactus cover this mountain from bottom to top. Wow.

Loved this trail! Great views of Saguaro National Park, and an excellent way to see the desert up close. I have an in-depth trip report complete with photos on my website at Natural Born Hikers Feel free to check it out.

A great hike along the ridge, with flowers already blooming everywhere. Took relatives from Pennsylvania along to see the lush desert.

What a delight this peak was in spring of 2005! Tucson received a great deal of precipitation in the winter months, and the desert was alive, not just with wonderful wildflowers, but also a lot of green grasses. We encountered a rattlesnake right next to the trail along the way, so keep your eyes peeled if you go. Great views of the surrounding ranges, and the trail was excellent the whole way. I'd say it's a better way to experience the desert than the Sonoran Desert Museum, which is located across the street from the trailhead we used. A trip report is available here.
