There is likely another trail to the summit that may be a lot longer, or another hike at a nearby milepost area? Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything else on the internet. Can you reccommend any hikes nearby this one, or nearby parking areas? This seems like a beautiful place, and it would be a shame to drive out to it, just for 1.18 miles of hiking. Maybe suggest other activities nearby off the Blue Ridge Parkway? Just look into it first, and I will gladly change my vote. Maybe call the visitors center to ask about other trails?

Could use more info. such as getting there instructions:

Directions from Cashiers:

From Sylva drive 9.0 miles east on 23/74 and turn left onto the Blue Ridge Parkway. Travel on the Blue Ridge Parkway toward the GSMNP for 0.75 miles past milepost 450 and turn right into the Waterrock Knob parking area

Are there any books?, etc.
