Hasn't voted | Thanks very much TyeDyeTwins - I'm glad to see that this pic is being appreciated! It was lovely on that particular spot on the way to the little peak above Berchtesgaden I went up yesterday!
Cheers,

Hasn't voted | I love the Watzmann as well, from this side as well as from the east, when standing high above the Königsee (which I already call "my private little fjord", as I live so near ;-)) and looking over to the formidable east wall, the highest one in the Eastern Alps...The Berchtesgadener Land has always been and will surely remain always a very special area to me! It's one of these spots where you can really "recharge the battery", as it's an area with a very positive feel to it! | | Posted Jan 25, 2010 12:28 pm |

Hasn't voted | Thanks! It was, I must admit, one of these lucky coincidental hits, as it was more the Watzmann and Hochkalter I was fixed upon than what was near...it wasn't until afterwards that I saw the lovely "arch" that the forest had made on that picture, taken in that particular spot - I wasn't on top of the Kneifelspitze yet - in that particular moment. But I guess it's oftentimes the "non-constructed" views that turn out to be the most successful in the end... | | Posted Feb 4, 2010 6:11 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Nice photo! Having never been to the Alps, these peaks look way taller than 3,000 meters. Great work. | | Posted Sep 4, 2010 8:05 pm |

Hasn't voted | Thanks very much! It's true, even though the Watzmann is still a 2000er, thanks to the great height difference between base and top on the north, the east and also the west side - the bases on these sides are not higher than 800 meters, while the summit is 2713 meters - it is a peak with dimension! | | Posted Sep 4, 2010 8:55 pm |
