We saw evidence of bears in the area, including fresh claw marks all the way up this tree. This is on the Swisher Trail. September 19, 2005.

I like this photo and the one of the water pump. Details like that add character to the mountain/route page and really give a flavor for the mountain. Apparently some people don't like them, but I do. 4-stars from me!

	Hasn't voted	Thanks Andy. I'd never seen anything like this before. It sure had me keeping an eye out while hiking. I posted it because it looked interesting, and it drove the point home that you should be alert for large animals out there. I could have posted a photo of bear poop, but I'd probably get slammed even harder in the photo ratings ;-). -Mike
