Weaver's Needle Rap Station
On the SW side of the summit is a very sturdy rap station, which allows one to avoid the highest exposed downclimb. The station is SW of the summit register, and perhaps 50' lower; this is a very clean, slightly hanging rap. The rap isn't necessary, but avoids another section that seems class 3 on the way up, yet class 4 on the way down. This situation is common on Weaver; the volcanic rock has so many embayments, that holds may be plentiful, even on near-vertical sections; but descending, it is hard to see the holds.
