Our guide wanted to summit Gannett in some way other than the common routes. This was certainly different. Summiting the peak was somewhat anti-climatic after the climb up through the canyon itself. But a very satisfying trip - we followed the route as described up then traversed the summit and came down via the Mammoth Glacier. The vista from Scott Lake is stunningly beautiful
Very fun, but painful in one day. We ran the first 10 miles, summited in 11 hours. 23 hours round trip. My legs still hurt after 5 days. But lot of fun, better that 50 miles up Titcomb basin.
