West End

This is West End. See the Getting to the Peak Section on the Cerro Carambola page. Most people take a taxi from West End or Coxen Hole to the trailhead, but if you are on a budget wait for the minibus on the main drag. Also, as mentioned on the mountain page if you or on a budget and visit during high season (december through March) and June through August), make sure to book a budget place to stay in advance as camping is not allowed near the mountain or anywhere on the island. Otherwise you will be forced to stay in one of the expensive (by Honduras standards) hotels.
