Left the parking lot at 8pm, hiked until 1am and camped near the base of Snowpatch-Bugaboo Col. Started behind 2 parties (dodging basketball sized rocks up the Col). Soloed up the west ridge and arrived at the summit at 1pm. Back in camp by 4:30. Hiked out the next morning.
On a 40% chance of t-storms in the afternoon we got up and hiked up to it by 7:30am or so. Soloed the route in about 40 minutes to the summit and back down and saw a bunch of roped guided groups get screwed by the rain.
"After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, which is the most horrible thing in the world."
