West Summit

[ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
West Summit
West summit to the right of foreground boulder. This is the view from south east ridge approach just as you top out and can finally see the northern drainages of Mount Wood. I had to descend to take cover from a thunderstorm as it passed to the east, but as I climbed back up to complete this last 100 ft of exposed ridge my hair would stand on end. With more storms brewing to the west, I decided it wasn't worth being a human lightning rod. You can also see fresh graupel the thunderstorm dropped on its way through. 2006-07-09
