Wet Slabs

Shirley following some-whatchummacallit 5.9 slab route (2-move wonder) immediately left of Under The Boredwalk (5.7) which is precisely what Henry is leading being belayed by Haydar (mid-August 2007; suboptimal conditions).

Nice

Looks fun. How many pitches did you guys get in? Did you try that big Cornicopia flake?

Sergio and I drove 7 hours, then hiked for 5 hours, camped below some granite spires, then watched it rain all day Sunday. It was awesome! :-)

Re: Nice

Hey thanks Martin. 'no' on the Cornucopia. We did that .7 (Under the Boardwalk i think), the .9 right next door (it's got an intermediate belay) and the 10a to the left of that. It was raining that morning in dtown...we went for breakfast in town and almost bailed on climbing but then just decided to hike up 3 o'clock...these were theh only dryish routes. Sorry to hear about your outing (which granite spires btw? chianti?...though 7hr dirve time does not jibe with that). this summer just fucking blows for us climbingwise :(

Re: Nice

We camped below Grimface in Cathedral Provincial Park in B.C. The plan was to do the Matriarch - Macabre - Grimface traverse.

Totally agree man, worst year ever!
