Wetterhorn northwall

Wetterhorn northwall

This wall is about 1300 meters high. It was climbed first in 1954 and only had a few repeaters since then. It's profile is steeper than it's famour neighbour "Eiger northface" and the climb up on Wetterhorn north is technically more challenging than the Eiger north. The rock quality is better at Wetterhorn than on the Eiger. It's not so popular, because it's not leading to the main summit (the main summit is hidden in clouds in this picture).
