Wheeler Peak from Baldy Saddle

Wheeler Peak from Baldy Saddle

Wheeler Peak, NM as seen from across the valley on the saddle between Touch-Me-Not Mountain and Baldy Mountain. Photo taken in June 2005. Here's another image, taken two weeks later when my son and I returned to nearby Touch-Me-Not Mountain. You can see that during the image above we had phenomenally clear skies. The other image was shot after fires in AZ started up, making the skies very hazy.

AWESOME!!!!

That is one awesome view of the Wheeler Peak group!! The summit of Wheeler Peak is just right of center (with the lack of snow below), Mt. Walter is the snowier peak just to the right of Wheeler Peak and "Pt. 13,045" is just to the right of Mt. Walter.

Here is a similar view, taken from along NM-38, seven miles north of Eagle Nest.

Re: AWESOME!!!!

Thanks for the kind words, Dherrera96. My son and I were back two weeks later to nearby Angel Fire and we summitted nearby Touch-Me-Not Mountain. The view was not nearly as clear due to smoke from fires in Arizona. You can see the difference in this image, taken from the top of Touch-Me-Not.
