White Domes-- West Peak Summit | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
A view of the west peak's summit, which requires a little easy, somewhat exposed Class 3 scrambling to reach. The summit has an airy feel and yields spectacular views.
Here is another view that shows the slope a little better.
Better viewed in "Orig."
Valley of Fire State Park, Nevada-- April 2009

Voted 10/10 | The striations or whatever those edges are called are very interesting. What causes these? Any idea? | | Posted Apr 18, 2009 11:16 am |

Hasn't voted | I haven't any idea, but I thought they were really neat, too. They seemed very delicate, too, so I tried to stay off them as much as possible. | | Posted Apr 18, 2009 6:37 pm |
