The backdrop is the Cottonwood Ridge on the other side of Little Cottonwood Canyon, and along with the dark-colored portion of the photo on the right, is much older rock than the granitic formation of the foreground (and up to the red/gray boundary in the background), which has its unique character, and is probably my favorite part of the Wasatch. | | Posted Aug 4, 2007 2:28 am |
