Not liking the rock quality of the second pitch I headed up the bolts that are on the face immediatly to the left of White Satin. The route goes at 5.10b, but felt harder than Screaming Yellow Zonkers to me with very small sharp nubbins. Still, they were solid small sharp nubbins and I would recommend it as a an alternative to getting to the really fun third pitch of White Satin.
yeah, White Satin IS deeelicious :) you guys should do it. Don't miss Sky Ridge 5.8 next door either! maybe we'll run into you guys if it's on a weekend. thanks for good words Fred!

The standard 2nd pitch is actually pretty OK - fun in fact esp. the 5.7 hand traverse around the block. You should try it next time you're up there.
