Who needs Yosemite?
This wall guarding Hellroaring Plateau rises nearly 2000' in all, and the sheer part is almost 1500' of granite. No, that's not as big as El Capitan, but here is a wilderness wall that sees few (if any) climbers and is in a spectacular setting that includes cliffs, spires, peaks, lakes, and glaciers and does not include traffic-choked roads. No offense to Yosemite-- it is a cool place-- but here is a great opportunity for some unheralded adventure. The Beartooths have many walls like this one.

This view is from my camp by Black Canyon Lake, 7 miles from the trailhead.
