Oklahoma's Granite Playground

Oklahoma is a surprisingly diverse state. Volcanic mesas in the panhandle, sand dunes and salt plains in the northwest, thickly forested ridges in the east and in the southwest...the Wichita Mountains. The Wichitas are the best climbing destination in the southern plains. The granite peaks are a striking contrast to the flat farmland surrounding the Wichita Range. In addition to the excellent topography, the Wichita Mountains also play home to free roaming bison and elk. All in all, the range is an awesome wilderness destination.
