Wildlife on the cliffs
Look for Bighorn Sheep up on the cliffs while in Gunsight Notch Canyon. We saw this pair, a Ram and an Ewe. One little Lamb was nearby down in the canyon and later rejoined the pair.

This is not a great wildlife shot by my standards, but I wanted to add it to Gunsight Notch Peak page as Red Rock Bighorns like the whole Pine Creek area a lot in spring and there is a high chance to see them on this hike.

Red Rocks, Nevada. May 9, 2007.

You can view my slideshow of our entire hike here:

Voted 10/10

looks esp. cool with the varnished (smooth looking) sandstone they're on.

Thanks. Notice how comfortable the ram is on the ledge. It was a long drop below him. The lamb refused to follow mom and went up on the other side to join them both.
It's always such a treat to watch these animals.
