Sort of...

What I mean by "sort of" is two fold. Since it was winter when we attemped Nebo from the west side, we weren't restricted to following the Willow Creek trail, but we used the same starting point and somewhat general area -- so that is the first "sort of". The second "sort of" is because we weren't successful in reaching the South Peak. We climbed for 8.5 hours, and reached somewhere between 10,000 and 10,500 feet (the GPS said 10,280), and then extremely strong winds attacked us, and we decided a storm was on it's way. We began climbing at 1:30 am, with a group of 14 people, the last three of us turned around at 9:30 am. It's surprising how little snow there was (there weren't many spots that I couldn't push the ice axe handle down to the rocks), but drifting and the dryness of the snow made the going slow.
